In versions of Synchro prior to 5.1, this message displayed when the file you were trying to load was saved in a newer version of Synchro. Have you opened your file in a newer version of Synchro (for example Synchro Open Viewer) and saved it by accident?

Synchro 5.1 and 5.2 (2016) will raise a message indicating that the file was saved in a newer version if that is the case. If  you were running 5.1 or 5.2 when you received the message, it may mean the file has been corrupted somehow. In which case you should look in your backups folder for a previous saved copy.

It is highly recommended to ALWAYS have "Backup project file when opened" enabled in Options>General>Auto Save and specify a folder for Autosaved files

You can check what version of Synchro are you running in Help>About
