You can create a 3D path for equipment to follow.

Here's a video showing the basics of creating and editing 3D paths: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrOB12OTLoU

Here's a video that shows how to create a 3D path by capturing keyframes. This technique may be helpful since you want the equipment to match the progress of the asphalt installation. You can  move the focus time, move the equipment to the correct location and capture a new keyframe until you cover the whole curve: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqc6HWXhNpA

A third technique is to import a polyline curve from AutoCAD that follows the desired curve and convert the polyline to a 3D path by (1) selecting it in the 3D window, (2) right clicking on it and choosing "Convert to 3D Path", then (3) assign the 3D path to the resource in Task Properties>Resources. If the start and end of the path match the start and end of the asphalt then the equipment should follow installation progress well. To set a uniform speed, you can go to 3D Path Editor>Keyframe list, right click and choose "Reset keyframes to maintain uniform speed"
