When I import programme from P6 Synchro automatically adjusts the task durations, why?

For example the 1hr durations in P6 are increased to 28hrs. Can't work out why it would do this.

When importing from P6, make sure that the following are all set to Import (not Skip):

    • Tasks
    • Links
    • Task Constraints
    • Calendars

Synchro is interoperable with a number of different scheduling programs (Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6) so there are various reschedule settings that may need to be changed to match the rescheduling behavior of the program you are importing from.

Check the settings in Options>Gantt Chart>Rescheduling>Parameters

    • Make sure "Enable Automatic Rescheduling" is OFF so that rescheduling doesn't happen immediately after import from P6
    • "Use Expected Finish Dates" setting can be turned on or off to match your Schedule Options in P6
    • Snap To should be set to "Minute" to match the rescheduling behavior in P6
    • "Disable Start key dates to finish of working day" and "Disable Finish key dates to start of working day" should both be OFF for compatibility with P6
    • "Link Calendar to Use during Rescheduling" should be set to Upstream task for compatibility with P6
    • "On scheduling progressed tasks use" can be changed to match your Schedule Options in P6

Also check in Options>Synchronisation>Primavera P6 that "Adjust times to GMT" is turned OFF

If these suggestions don't resolve the issue, you may send your P6 XML to support@synchroltd.com for investigation

maybe it has something to do with the length of the working day? or maybe the weekend?
