Why do Activity Codes have to have a value?

Why is there not a column displaying all activity codes for a single activity?

For example, an activity could have the codes North Side; Phase 2; Demo;

The codes don't need values- but I need to know all the codes assigned to an activity.

    And, it is not clear that a value is REQUIRED for a code.

    I now understand how you are making codes work; you would expect a code category for "location" and there would be values added for "North", "South", etc.

    in a future release could you make a distinction for "code category" versus a code?

    So, you can't have more than one code value. Which brings me back to not having values for codes.... this is really frustrating.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Tim. We can consider it for a future improvement.

    In P6 (like Synchro) you must assign a Code Value. Is assigning an Activity Code without a Value something you're used to doing in Asta?

    Kate- It has been a long time since I've added codes in P6. I forgot about the adding values. Maybe make a way to add hashtags? #North #Phase1 #Demo?

    What I was trying to do, is add "tags" that I could later sort by for attaching work zones to- some activities span multiple zones, so I would need multiple tags. If you can only have one value per code, than I can't tag an activity for multiple work zones.

    Ok, thanks for clarifying - I'll add a suggestion for an improvement to assign multiple "tag" values
